Tracking Technologies: Luxury or Oppression?

Tracking technologies with similar functions can be seen as helpful or menacing depending on how it's positioned and the class and perceptions of the user. However, we need to consider who actually is in control and what they're doing. Regardless of how it's positioned or perceived, surveillance controlled remotely by powerful companies present "a challenge to the bases of democracy and social freedom".
